MSc candidate Tori Marko received a prestigious Ontario Graduate Scholarship to support her research on the role of Pseudomonas aeruginosa minor pilins in virulence. These interesting proteins are essential for making type IV pili, used as grappling hooks, but they have other, non-pilus-related functions as well. Tori is using nematodes as a model host to examine these functions. Congratulations Tori!
